MAKING GREAT STRIDES TOWARDS OUR CARBON ELIMINATION GOALS
Even though our Production of photo paper is already CO2-neutral thanks to carbon offsetting, we are working tirelessly to keep reducing our emissions. One major advantage in our race to eliminate carbon has been our on-site solar energy production, involving both rooftop solar panels and solar “flowers” (smaller, column-mounted solar panels arranged in a flower-shaped array, which automatically rotate to optimize exposure to the sun). We are also converting our vehicle fleet to electric and hybrid vehicles, and our production facilities are powered exclusively by CO2-free green electricity. The remaining tons of CO2 that we emit are offset through certificates issued by Gold Standard projects in the global South.

EVERY DROP OF WATER COUNTS.
In JOJO, every drop of water is extremely precious. We do our utmost to conserve water. At the same time, we are constantly striving to improve the quality and purification level of the wastewater we generate. For instance, the wastewater from our production site is processed by advanced treatment facilities and can then be reused. Through the use of smart water meters for water monitoring, we can monitor, evaluate and analyze all water usage situations. At the production site located in Pujiang, we can recover over 104,000 liters of water every day within a Pujiang water resource protection area.
JOJO has been dedicated to environmental protection efforts since 2000.
Our lush meadow now houses even more local plant and wildflower species. This has brought vitality to the soil and improved the local climate. JOJO clearly demonstrates that commercial activities and biodiversity are not mutually exclusive; instead, they can coexist and thrive together.
